Happy New Year all! My DeviantArt account has barely had a pulse for the last year or two, so I may as well fill in the few watchers I have with what I've been up to. I'm currently pursuing a degree in Planetary Science, and still doing creative writing on the side. It makes me smile to think my original interest in planets & the solar system was stoked by a simple GIMP tutorial on how to make a planet out of pictures of rocks almost 4 years ago. Hey folks. Long time, no see! I've finally got some new art on the go. I've worked on a few in the last couple months, but nothing has turned out the way I intended, and I've been awfully distant from my visual art creativity. I emerged from exams not only intact, but pretty damn content with my results. I suppose it's a little confidence booster before I tackle calculus this coming year. I've got freedom for another week or two now, before I start up with my summer job once again. G'day everyone! It's been a while! I've been sucked into classes pretty well for the last while. My Physics and Calculus courses have been sucking out a lot of spare time for homework. However, I'm enjoying them and doing well, so no problems there. I've also been pouring a lot more time into my writing, trying to work through the first draft of my novel and fighting to not go back and start editing before I complete it. Also, I recently spent a week ski mountaineering in the Selkirk mountain range. I definitely built some muscle mass, maybe dropped a few pounds of whale blubber, and had a great time.
